🔒 DejaURL stores all data 100% locally in your browser. No data is ever sent to any server, third party, or external service.
What data DejaURL collects
DejaURL collects the following information about your browsing activity:
- URLs of pages you visit
- Time spent on each URL
- Page titles of visited pages
- Timestamps of visits
This data is used solely to provide the URL tracking and grouping features of the extension.
Where your data is stored
All data collected by DejaURL is stored exclusively in Chrome's local storage on your device using the chrome.storage.local API. This means:
- Your data never leaves your computer
- No data is transmitted to any server
- No data is shared with any third party
- No analytics or tracking services are used
- No account or login is required
What DejaURL does NOT collect
- Passwords or form data
- Personal information of any kind
- Payment information
- Location data
- Content of web pages (only URLs and titles)
Permissions used
DejaURL requests the following Chrome permissions:
- tabs — to detect which URL is active and measure time spent
- storage — to save your URL history locally on your device
- alarms — to periodically save time data in the background
No other permissions are requested or used.
Data deletion
You can delete all data collected by DejaURL at any time by:
- Opening DejaURL → Settings → "Clear all data"
- Or uninstalling the extension (all local data is automatically deleted)
Data export
DejaURL allows you to export your data as JSON or CSV files. These exports are saved directly to your device and are never transmitted anywhere.
Changes to this policy
If this privacy policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
